About the Role

Peraton is seeking a Watch Analyst for its Federal Strategic Cyber group. This position is embedded within the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) 24/7 SCIF/Operations Center. Serving as the hub for staying on top of threats and emerging risks to the nation's critical infrastructure, this center is where the federal government coordinates situational awareness and response to protect national cyber and infrastructure security.

In this role, you will work within a small team to monitor classified databases, ticket management systems, alerting services, news feeds, and open sources for threats impacting national security. You will provide the initial triage and analysis of cyber, physical, and communication incidents to determine severity and reporting requirements. Your work will directly support government leadership, law enforcement, and federal stakeholders by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable reports. You will operate in a time-sensitive environment under the direction of a federal CISA Duty Officer, coordinating incidents through to completion.

Obtained Cyber certifications (i.e., CompTIA Security+). Experience with Knowledge Management Systems and ServiceNow. Ability to read technical cyber reporting, including IOCs and TTPs, and extract important information to provide clear and concise reporting for a non-technical audience.
