Founded in 1858, Hajoca Corporation is one of the country's largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating, cooling, and industrial supplies. Built on the principles of "Service, Integrity, Reliability," our success stems from a unique business philosophy and the talented people who guide us into the future. While Hajoca is a large organization, we operate in a decentralized environment where each location, known as a Profit Center (PC), functions as an independent small business. These centers honor the unique needs of their local marketplaces, offering customized approaches under distinct trade names. Peabody Supply Company is one such trade name, and we are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Teammate/Delivery Driver for our Kingston, NH location.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on providing an excellent customer experience while maintaining a strong focus on safety and service. You will serve as the heart of our operations, bridging the gap between our warehouse logistics and our customers' job sites. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of warehouse management and on-the-road delivery, ensuring that every order is fulfilled with precision and care.
In the warehouse, you will be responsible for the accurate receiving, counting, and verification of incoming shipments, as well as managing customer returns. You will pick, document, and pack orders in strict accordance with company procedures, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. Attention to detail is paramount here, as you will identify discrepancies, damaged goods, and special-order materials, ensuring they are stored and handled correctly to protect our assets and uphold our reputation for reliability.
As a driver, you will operate trucks safely to deliver merchandise to job sites, customer facilities, and vendor locations. Your role involves securing loads properly, verifying shipping documentation, and ensuring the correct merchandise is delivered to the right place. You will interact directly with customers to resolve any shipping discrepancies, collect payments for cash sales, and provide sales leads by identifying prospective customers during your routes. Safety is the cornerstone of this role; you will conduct daily vehicle inspections, complete necessary reports, and adhere to all Department of Transportation regulations.
At Hajoca, our culture is designed for exceptional people who want to share in the financial success their efforts yield. We offer a competitive starting wage alongside a Profit-Sharing Program that allows team members to earn a direct share of annual profits. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid vacation, holidays, and sick time. We also support your long-term growth with 401(k) contributions, targeted training programs, a wellness program, and college tuition benefits.
Hajoca Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected category. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application process.
Please note that employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background investigation, in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
