About the Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Route Driver to join our Rexel USA team in Denver, CO. This position is available at the Warehouse Route Driver I, II, or Senior level, with the specific level and pay determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and capabilities.
The Warehouse Route Driver is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch and warehouse locations, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required for this role. The core mission is to ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently, with all materials verified as correct and free of damage before departure.
This role operates on a schedule from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, offering weekends off. New hires are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with a thorough inspection of the company vehicle for visual and operating defects, followed by completing a daily inspection report. You will ensure the vehicle remains clean, serviced, and maintained, promptly alerting supervisors to any necessary repairs or services.
Throughout the day, you will adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations. Your responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles, verifying that all material for each order matches the quantity and type required, and confirming the condition of the goods. You will also assist in preparing orders for delivery and ensure all documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including obtaining customer signatures on delivery receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests.
Additional duties may involve picking up material returns from customers, inspecting their condition, and verifying quantities and catalog numbers, as well as picking up material from company suppliers. Senior Truck Drivers will also participate in training entry-level drivers, providing mentorship and coaching. Depending on operational needs, you may be required to support other warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.
