About the Role
People First Employment is seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse Forklift Operator to join a partner distribution team serving pet and feed stores, kennels, groomers, trainers, shelters, and veterinarians across California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii. This is a fast-paced, physical position focused on maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within a smoke-free environment.
The role involves processing inbound orders using RF technology, verifying inventory quantities, and unloading or loading trailers while checking for transit damage. Operators are expected to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the RDC/PDC areas and may be required to train new associates. Success in this position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear steel-toe shoes.
Schedule & Compensation
This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and Fridays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Overtime is available as needed, with potential for up to 10 hours of overtime per week. The role includes a training period during the 1st shift. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour.
