About the Role
The VP, Global Payroll leads Synchrony's global payroll delivery across the United States, Canada, India, and the Philippines. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery while partnering closely with in-country payroll teams and vendors to drive consistent governance, process alignment, and continuous improvement. As the global escalation owner for complex payroll risks and incidents, you will ensure timely resolution and stakeholder alignment while overseeing payroll-related accounting coordination to maintain integrity between payroll outputs and financial reporting requirements.

Requirements
- verified10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or 6 years equivalent experience
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- verifiedAbility to travel for business
- verifiedMust be 18 years or older
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedLegal authorization to work in the U.S.
- verifiedWillingness to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints
Nice to Have
Experience with Workday payroll module. Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), CPA, or equivalent regional credential. Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet, database, and other software applications.
