About the Role
This position serves as the strategic leader for the firm's analytics effort, responsible for driving reporting to senior management, business leaders, and external stakeholders. You will act as the central hub for data, pulling from multiple sources including the business's Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems, internal and external market data, accounting reports, and other critical datasets.
Your day-to-day will involve measuring return on key investment metrics—such as Capital, Risk, and Operational Complexity—against business returns. You will own daily Borrowing Base reporting for our syndicate of lenders, prepare Daily Profit and Loss statements, reconcile them to business expectations, and create logistics and trade reports to aid in better business management. This role offers the opportunity to build a single global analytics function within a growing commodity trader, initially managing a team of three analysts with significant potential for growth within the role and the firm.
