The Correctional Managed Care team is dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD). About the Role
This position serves as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) providing direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients. You will perform essential nursing procedures within the scope of your education and demonstrated abilities, working collaboratively to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role involves executing physician orders, administering medications, and documenting care while maintaining strict patient privacy and confidentiality.
Work Environment
You will be located within the confines of a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center. This role requires security clearance and completion of pre-employment drug testing. You will utilize standard patient care supplies, equipment, and mechanical devices to deliver care safely and effectively.
