You will provide executive leadership over the development, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic suite, alongside adjacent modules such as Pharmacy, Lab, and Enterprise Imaging. A key component of this position involves overseeing projects related to the EHR system, including the strategic delivery of embedded and bolt-on Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionality to enhance patient care.
In this customer-oriented capacity, you will interact closely with the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and Chief Nursing Officers to align application strategies with physician and nursing priorities. The role requires navigating complex decision-making among multiple executive stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, and fostering a service delivery culture that resolves barriers and drives continuous improvement across the continuum of care.
You will lead a large-scale team responsible for the care delivery application portfolio, managing resources and structures to solve problems and deliver services within documented Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This position acts as the IT sponsor for care delivery implementations, coordinating with third-party contractors and internal groups including HR, Finance, Security, Compliance, and Legal to ensure policies are upheld and budget commitments are achieved.
The team operates within a large, multi-site academic health system, requiring a deep understanding of integrated delivery systems and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a politically complex environment. Success in this role depends on the ability to balance technical expertise with executive presence, ensuring that the application portfolio evolves to meet organizational goals while maintaining operational excellence.
