About the Role
We are seeking a visionary leader to head our Surety underwriting group. In this high-visibility position, you will manage a team of staff underwriters, drive annual strategic planning, and oversee budget evaluation and premium audits. Your mission is to ensure customer issues are resolved efficiently while fostering a culture of excellence within the department.
You will serve as a key liaison with wholesale brokers and leverage market analysis, profitability metrics, and diversification strategies to develop robust premium plans. This role requires deep expertise across a wide spectrum of Surety bonds, including Commercial, Contract, Fidelity, Non-Standard, Small Contract, and Court Surety. You will work closely with marketing and business development teams to align department activities with broader company strategies.
Beyond operational oversight, a core part of your day involves mentoring staff underwriters, creating personnel development plans, and equipping your team with the skills to handle objections and retain key customers. You will be part of a leading company offering a generous compensation package, including stock ownership opportunities from day one, with total earning potential reaching $300,000.
