About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Internal Fraud within the 1LOD Center of Excellence, the VP, Internal Fraud Governance & Product serves as a pivotal leadership figure at American Express. This role is dedicated to strengthening and harmonizing the enterprise's internal fraud risk management framework while driving the execution of digital solutions that enhance the organization's ability to detect, prevent, and manage internal fraud risks.
The position operates at the intersection of governance and product innovation. You will execute an enterprise-wide governance framework that ensures strict alignment with regulatory expectations, enterprise risk standards, and operational excellence. A core aspect of the role involves influencing multiple lines of defense to guarantee consistent execution of internal fraud standards, controls, metrics, and oversight across the organization.
In this capacity, you will translate complex business needs into scalable, data-driven, and user-centric solutions. This requires deep collaboration across risk, analytics, technology, and product teams to define product vision, roadmaps, and prioritization. The role is designed for a leader who can foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement while guiding control disciplines to proactively communicate trends, gaps, and events to senior leadership.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Compliance, Technology, Data Analytics, or related field

- verified10+ years of experience in risk governance, compliance, fraud risk management, audit, digital product management, solution design, or business analysis
