About the Role
As the SVP, Customer Facing Model Development, you will lead the strategic vision and execution for credit and fraud scoring models that directly impact our customer experience. This role sits at the intersection of advanced data science, operational strategy, and regulatory governance. You will own the end-to-end integration of customer-facing models with business expansion and product generation, ensuring that our decisioning frameworks drive data outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of model risk management.
In this position, you will guide teams in leveraging cutting-edge AI and machine learning methodologies—including regression, Monte Carlo, bootstrapping, and Bayesian techniques—to solve complex credit use cases. Your focus will be on driving innovation in cloud-based modeling infrastructures and automating the model lifecycle, from design and validation to deployment and monitoring. You will serve as a key voice in regulatory and senior management interactions, representing the customer-facing model development function and ensuring alignment with enterprise practices.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in quantitative or technical discipline
- verifiedAdvanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD) strongly preferred
- verified10+ years of experience in credit risk modeling, machine learning, or related analytics roles
- verified5+ years in a senior leadership role
- verifiedProficiency in Python, R, SAS, or SQL
- verifiedLegal authorization to work in the U.S.
- verifiedMust be 18 years or older
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedAbility to satisfy Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
Nice to Have
Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through executive and cross-functional stakeholder engagement, detailed-oriented documentation, and visual storytelling. Advanced critical thinking skills in analytical problem-solving and the ability to use data to break down complex models. Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve specific goals within a defined timeline and budget. Ability to effectively share knowledge by translating complex, technical subject matter and providing actionable coaching and feedback across all levels. Strong business acumen and familiarity with model governance frameworks, regulatory expectations, and internal audit processes (e.g., SR 11-7 compliance, MRM policies).
