The Amazon Seller Assistant team operates at the very frontier of agentic AI and agentic commerce. We are not a research group; we are a team shipping production-grade, multi-agent systems used by millions of sellers worldwide. Our vision is to provide each seller with a proactive, autonomous, agentic assistant that understands their business and helps them navigate the complexities of selling by anticipating their needs, surfacing insights, resolving issues, taking actions on their behalf, and helping them grow.
We move with the urgency of a startup and the resources of the world's most customer-obsessed company, translating the latest breakthroughs in science and engineering into capabilities that sellers rely on every day. Amazon Seller Assistant helps millions of sellers on Amazon serve billions of customers worldwide.
We are seeking a world-class Data Scientist to help define and build the next generation of Amazon Seller Assistant. You will partner with top-tier scientists and engineers to launch production-grade agentic capabilities at Amazon's scale. In this role, you will own your problem space end-to-end, transforming a crisp customer insight into a shipped product that millions of sellers rely on.
You will be responsible for defining and shipping agentic experiences—including reasoning, planning, memory, and context engineering—that solve hard seller problems at scale. Your work will involve translating frontier AI research into production-grade features, designing rigorous evaluation frameworks to measure agent quality and business impact, and driving cross-functional alignment across science, engineering, UX, and business teams to deliver with speed and quality.
Our interview process is designed to assess both technical depth and product intuition. Candidates can expect a series of interviews focusing on data science fundamentals, machine learning application, and the ability to define product vision and strategy. We look for individuals who can effectively communicate complex concepts and drive cross-functional alignment.
