Internal Audit's primary mission is to provide assurance to the Board of Directors and Executive Management that BlackRock's businesses are well managed and meeting strategic, operational, and risk management objectives. The team engages with senior leaders and all of BlackRock's individual business units globally to understand and advise on risks, evaluate the effectiveness of key processes, and assist in the design of best practices that can improve results. Internal Audit reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, building confidence that BlackRock will meet its obligations to clients, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.
The Business Audit Team, with presence in the US, Europe, and Asia, performs audits covering all BlackRock business units, including investment management, risk management, operations, finance, legal, compliance, and client businesses.
As a Business Audit Vice President, you will serve as a strategic partner to the firm, leading the execution of global, regional, and integrated audits. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on broad exposure to the asset management industry, engaging deeply with investment management, sales, trading, operations, risk management, finance, and compliance activities. You will act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, providing advisory services during the development of new businesses and systems while assisting in the formation of the annual audit plan through your insights on current business, industry, and regulatory risk factors.
The position offers a unique opportunity to identify emerging firm-wide risks and understand key changes in strategies and operating models through ongoing engagements with business management. You will also be responsible for coaching and providing feedback to audit staff, leading or contributing to global departmental projects, and interacting with regulatory examiners as needed.
