The Veterinary Technician Supervisor serves as a vital bridge between the leadership team and technical staff, ensuring high-quality medical support and nursing care for companion animal patients. This role is designed to provide top leadership and oversight to the veterinary technician team while supporting emergency veterinarians and organizing the daily workflow of the hospital.
In this position, you will act as a mentor and leader by example, fostering a culture of growth and development. You will collaborate with the Lead Training Coordinator to develop protocols for onboarding new staff and conduct performance reviews. Your day will involve facilitating communication through bi-weekly lead meetings and quarterly check-ins, ensuring consistent messaging and identifying areas for improvement. You will also play a key role in hospital operations by monitoring compliance in lab, radiology, surgery, and isolation areas, and by assisting with scheduling to maintain appropriate staffing levels. This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week, with a schedule split between training, communication, and engagement duties.
