Day in the Life
Your day will be a blend of clinical precision and client interaction. You will assist veterinarians across general medicine, surgery, and dentistry, handling tasks ranging from obtaining patient histories and administering medications to performing specialized nursing care for injured or ill animals. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to surgical support, including preparing instruments, managing anesthesia induction, and monitoring patients through recovery. In dentistry, you will assist with scaling, polishing, and extractions, ensuring all procedures are documented accurately.
Beyond the clinical duties, you will be the face of the hospital for many clients. You will communicate with pet owners in a compassionate and professional manner, educating them on preventative healthcare, vaccines, and parasite control. Maintaining legally defensible medical records and ensuring all equipment is in working order are also key parts of your daily responsibilities.
