About the Role

This role represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated, highly trained veterinary nurse seeking a challenging position dedicated to quality patient care within our Emergency/ICU team. You will join a collaborative network where the integrated approach ensures the highest standard of care.

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for incoming patients, responsible for triage and taking complete histories. Your day will involve managing the flow between clients and patients, executing treatment plans, and providing excellent nursing care efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with DVMs and the medical team to assist with procedures, treatments, and perioperative care, including anesthetizing, monitoring, and recovering patients. The role demands the ability to work well under pressure during high-stress situations while maintaining compassion and empathy for clients and team members.

Hiring Process

Candidates with Emergency or Urgent Care experience are given the highest preference. While completion of an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program and certification in the state of Illinois is highly desired, the team is open to discussing qualifications during the interview process.
