As a Locum Veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital, you will serve as a vital advocate for pets, delivering preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse range of animals. This role exists to ensure that pets receive high-quality medical attention while supporting the hospital's mission to create a better world for pets. You will work within a collaborative veterinary medical team, utilizing your expertise to manage patient care, educate clients, and maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene in exam rooms and treatment areas.
In this position, you will be responsible for obtaining detailed medical histories, performing basic surgeries, and communicating complex treatment plans to both pet owners and colleagues. Your day will involve balancing clinical duties with compassionate client service, ensuring that every pet receives personalized care tailored to their specific health needs and long-term well-being. You will also play a key role in upholding local, state, and federal regulations, including the proper management of controlled substances and adherence to veterinary practice guidelines.
