The Vendor Experience team works with every part of the grocery organization to provide vendor negotiations, engagement, and funding programs that deliver the best customer experience while continuously improving retail controllable profitability. This team provides the process, tooling, and strategic infrastructure that supports category teams across the entire grocery organization in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships and driving continuous improvement in profitability.
As a Vendor Manager - Strategic Projects & Vendor Experience, you will drive profitability improvements across Amazon Grocery through strategic vendor programs and business process convergence, enabled by AI-powered automation. This role oversees programs with direct, tangible, and material impacts on the entire Amazon Grocery P&L.
You will serve as the single-threaded leader responsible for delivering key insights on Vendor Financials and Net Profitability, while creating the process and resource infrastructure that supports continuous improvements in grocery Vendor Funding. You will partner with Tech and Non-Tech teams across the organization to drive improvements in business integrations and reporting, leveraging a deep understanding of data and nuanced knowledge of Vendor Financials to deliver solutions that scale with the business.
You will be at the intersection of finance, technology, and vendor relationships, solving some of Amazon Grocery's most complex profitability challenges. Your day involves analyzing vendor funding data to maximize profitability and identify automation opportunities, partnering with technical teams to build scalable solutions, and identifying pathways to converge business processes and tools. You will present strategic insights to senior leadership across One Grocery and Core Consumables, leveraging AI and machine learning tools to transform manual processes into automated workflows. This is process transformation at scale, where your solutions will touch every category team and vendor relationship across the organization.
Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and influence without authority. The selection process focuses on deep experience in program management, P&L management, and building solutions based on in-depth analysis of complex data. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of leading stakeholders across different teams to deliver solutions to unusually complex challenges.

Background in retail, grocery, or e-commerce operations. Experience partnering with technical teams on tool development. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and project management tools (Asana, JIRA). Experience with selection strategy, space planning, trade planning, and/or vendor management processes.
