As a User Experience Designer for IBM Quantum, you will work at the intersection of science, design, and culture to design experiences for one of the most innovative technology initiatives at IBM. You will help define and evolve the user experience of IBM Quantum across digital products and experiences, partnering with team members across disciplines—including those with highly technical backgrounds—to deliver products that advance the entire quantum computing technology stack.
Your day-to-day involves iterating on high-quality user experience designs for the IBM Quantum Platform, developing user flows and mockups using the Carbon Design System, and communicating with key stakeholders to identify user needs and design requirements. You will apply research insights to improve product experiences and partner with development teams to ensure accurate, useful interfaces are delivered.

Experience working with AI tools for design or integrating AI tools into a design workflow. Competent to strong visual design skills, including a firm grasp of responsive behavior and best practices for accessibility. Experience working on highly complex or technical digital platforms or tools, especially ones with a user base of researchers and/or developers. Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to work with tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with the Carbon design system and/or IBM Design language.
