About the Department
The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is growing rapidly, anchored in New York's historic capital city. As the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in the Capital Region, the department is home to 14 highly collaborative urology faculty members. The department supports an outstanding urology residency program with fellowship-trained faculty in every subspecialty and maintains regular, highly rated student interactions.
The department operates as part of the Albany Med Health System, which serves over three million people across 25 counties. The downtown campus features the region's largest hospital, the only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers, and the only children's hospital in the area.
