Dignity Health Medical Group-NorthState is a physician-owned, multi-specialty group serving the continuing health care needs of California's North State region, with care centers in Redding and Red Bluff. As part of CommonSpirit®, one of the nation's largest health systems, our affiliation with Dignity Health connects us to the highest standard of health care available. We are a physician-led, professionally managed practice dedicated to providing strong support and mentorship to our providers.
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urgent Care Physician to join our well-established clinic in Redding, CA. In this role, you will diagnose and treat medical conditions, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and perform necessary surgical and non-surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with a full complement of staff, engaging in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standard of patient care. The position offers a robust work-life balance with a shift-based schedule, including one weekend per month and flexible weekday hours.
Redding is a vibrant city in far northern California, offering the best of both urban amenities and rural opportunities. Located on the I-5 corridor midway between Sacramento and the Oregon border, it features a low cost of living compared to the Bay Area or Southern California, despite having a population size similar to San Francisco. Residents enjoy 300 days of sun, no snow shoveling, and immediate access to outdoor adventures like kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and fishing. The area boasts two reservoirs, the Sacramento River, and over 225 miles of trails within a 15-mile radius. For those seeking city life, Sacramento is just over two hours away, while the Northern California coast is a three-hour drive through "Bigfoot country" to destinations like Fern Canyon and Grizzly Creek State Park.
If you are passionate about advancing health for all people and are ready to join a supportive, physician-led team in a beautiful community, we invite you to apply. Please submit your credentials and a brief introduction to discuss how your experience aligns with our mission.
