Dignity Health Medical Group – North State is a physician-owned, multi-specialty group with over 60 providers serving the continuing health care needs of California's North State region. With care centers in Redding and Red Bluff, the group operates as a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation and is aligned with Dignity Health, one of the nation's largest hospital providers. As part of CommonSpirit®, the group connects its providers to the highest standard of health care available while maintaining a strong local focus on community wellness.
We are recruiting an additional Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join our Primary Care Team in Redding. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice 100% outpatient medicine on a 4-day full-time work week. You will be part of a patient-centric, physician-led practice model supported by dedicated staff, working alongside experienced providers in a collaborative environment.
In this position, you will diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and conduct thorough examinations. The role emphasizes a collaborative approach, requiring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will have easy access to a strong referral system and specialists, supported by an EMR and PACS system, as well as a 24/7 Hospitalist Program. The practice model encourages flexibility, including the ability to accommodate extended weekdays on a rotating basis.
Located in the heart of far northern California, Redding offers the best of both city living and rural adventure. Situated on the I-5 corridor midway between Sacramento and the Oregon border, the city provides urban amenities with a significantly lower cost of living than the Bay Area or Southern California. Despite having a population size comparable to San Francisco, Redding boasts about one-tenth the density, offering 300 days of sun per year and no snow shoveling.
Nature enthusiasts will find endless opportunities just minutes from the clinic's front door, including kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and fishing. The area features two reservoirs, the Sacramento River flowing through the town, and 225 miles of trails within a 15-mile radius. For weekend getaways, Sacramento is just over two hours away, the Bay Area is three to four hours away, and the Northern California coast is a three-hour drive. The region also offers unique local attractions like Fern Canyon and Grizzly Creek State Park.
To apply, please submit your credentials demonstrating a valid and unrestricted California medical license, board eligibility or certification in your specialty, and completion of an accredited post-graduate training program. Interested candidates should reach out to the recruitment team to discuss the opportunity further.
