You will serve as a dedicated and responsive partner to students, parents, and the school community, demonstrating a spirit of faith and prayer in all interactions.
In this role, you will contribute to the school's effectiveness by identifying key issues and implementing directives that align with our goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities include establishing course outlines, utilizing best practices to integrate technology with subject matter, and assessing student learning through various methods. Beyond academics, you will guide students' personal and social development by establishing classroom rules and procedures, while also supporting parents by addressing their concerns and providing educational resources. You will maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment while continuing to grow professionally through workshops and professional networks.
Candidates must hold a Teachers Certification in their area of assignment and possess a Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent subject hours. While membership in Prestonwood Baptist Church is preferred for all teachers, it is a strict requirement for Bible Teachers.
This role is primarily based in a classroom environment. The position requires the ability to stand and walk regularly while lecturing and monitoring students, as well as sitting at a computer for data analysis and preparation. The work involves frequent interruptions and deadlines, requiring effective communication even in stressful situations. Occasional lifting of 5 to 20 pounds may be necessary.
