About the Role
The Upholster works closely with the Warehouse Manager to repair and refurbish damaged furniture and other fixtures used in our special events. A key component of this role involves organizing and prioritizing information to develop each project in the most efficient and effective way possible.
In this position, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for making or repairing upholstery from start to finish. Your day-to-day involves fitting, installing, and securing materials on frames using a variety of hand and power tools. You will build furniture with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, and foam padding to form smooth, rounded surfaces. Whether restoring custom pieces based on design specifications or upholstering tight seats, tufting, and plain frames, you will ensure every detail meets our high standards of excellence.
The role also encompasses the full lifecycle of the furniture, from assembling sofa wood frames and installing springs to moving finished pieces to the warehouse, loading trucks, and preparing items for shipping. You will ensure that all accessories are attached, threads are cut, and the final product is clean before bagging.
