Do you want to be a part of bridging the gap? Help us continue to build a new, innovative program that is changing the way our community receives help while in an acute crisis.
The San Mateo Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) brings crisis services to people in the community, delivered by a dedicated team of mental health professionals with law enforcement involvement only where necessary. It is an exciting opportunity to expand much-needed crisis care in San Mateo County in a way that is safe, accessible, and compassionate. Our goals are to help people get the support they need and reduce unnecessary law enforcement involvement, ER visits, and hospitalizations.
The Clinician provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. This role assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team, including collaborating with outside agencies such as the Conservator's Office, Public Guardian's Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.
As part of the MCRT, you will provide telephone screening, triage, and referral services, ensuring every consumer caller receives a timely response, accurate assessments, appropriate interventions, and professional attention. You will be dispatched to respond to emergency and crisis events across the county, providing onsite therapeutic interventions and acting as a leader for the dispatched mobile team.
Telecare's behavioral health program is a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team serving individuals of all ages experiencing mental health crises. MCRT is creating an opportunity to intervene in a unique way that has never been done before in our system of care. We collaborate and accept referrals from the Access and Crisis Line (ACL) and law enforcement to offer crisis triage and management, risk assessment, in-person intervention, and case management.
We are building a multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-generational, and inclusive team to help those in need. We will redefine the way we respond to our community members and their families when they are vulnerable and suffering from a mental health crisis and/or drug/alcohol use.
Full Job Description can be provided by the program upon request. For more information regarding benefits, visit https://www.telecarecorp.com/benefits.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (AA M/F/V/Disability). We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
Note: If job posting references any sign-on bonus, internal applicants and applicants employed with Telecare in the previous 12 months would not be eligible.
