About the Role
As a Peer Recovery Specialist and Residential Assistant, you will join #TeamAcenda to make a lasting impact by supporting the recovery needs of mothers and children. This role is designed for individuals who want to make a living by making a difference, providing 24/7 support and monitoring in a residential setting.
Program Context: A Place to Call Home
You will work within "A Place to Call Home," a Recovery-Focused Independent Transitional Living program. Created to facilitate safe, supportive, and sober housing for expectant and postpartum women in early recovery from opioids and other substances, this program serves up to 10 women and their children simultaneously. The environment integrates parenting support, vocational counseling, case management, peer recovery support, medication education, and life skills training, while linking residents with essential mental health and substance abuse counseling.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleWork directly with mothers and children to assist with connection to community resources
- check_circleProvide support in recognizing cravings, urges, and triggers while building relapse prevention skills
- check_circleFollow up with mothers up to six months post discharge and provide links to appropriate supports
- check_circlePrevent and assist with crisis situations to reduce the potential for relapse
- check_circleRecord all documentation including UDS, med administration, sessions, and interventions in the EHR
- check_circleCoordinate with integrated team members for continuity of care and complete written daily reports
- check_circleScan all written documentation such as UDS results and discharge paperwork into the resident EHR
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School degree or equivalent
- verifiedMinimum one year of experience in a Recovery-oriented role
- verifiedKnowledge of the 12 steps for A.A
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedUse of an insured vehicle
- verifiedAcceptable driving record

Bilingual proficiency (Spanish).
