About the Role
The Unit Manager serves as a vital clinical and administrative leader, ensuring the highest standard of care for residents within the facility. This role requires a strong nursing background with exceptional assessment skills to oversee daily operations and direct the care team. You will act as the primary liaison between physicians, residents, families, and outside entities, utilizing strong communication and diplomatic abilities to navigate complex situations.
In this position, you will supervise the facility's nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, and support staff. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing shared on-call schedules, overseeing IV responsibilities, and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with proper care standards. You will set goals and standards for the unit, delegate assignments, and evaluate employee performance to maintain a culture of excellence and safety.
