About the Role
Peraton is seeking a highly skilled and mission-focused Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to support secure enterprise communications systems for a federal government customer. This role exists to ensure the architecture, engineering, implementation, operations, and sustainment of secure and non-secure unified communications systems across geographically dispersed locations. You will be the backbone of executive leadership communications, SCIF deployments, continuity of operations (COOP) requirements, and Intelligence Community interoperability initiatives.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with cybersecurity, TEMPEST, TAPS, facilities, and Intelligence Community working groups. Your work ensures that communications systems meet all operational, technical, and security compliance requirements. You will support mission-critical operations, including secure video wall systems, watch floor communications infrastructure, and mission operations centers, while participating in interagency working groups related to secure communications interoperability and emerging technologies.

Peraton is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field; 12 years experience with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with Ph.D., or 16 years with HS Diploma; 8+ years supporting enterprise unified communications in federal or classified environments; Active TS/SCI or Q/SCI clearance; Cisco UC technologies (CUCM, IM&P, Unity Connection, Expressway, SIP/H.323 gateways); and Experience with secure VoSIP and Secure VTC environments.
