As a U-2 Pilot with Skunk Works, you will be responsible for testing and operating advanced aircraft to validate performance and support mission readiness. This role exists to ensure that our most sophisticated platforms meet rigorous specifications and operational suitability standards before they are deployed. You will operate models of test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers.
Your day will involve coordinating flight operations efforts and collaborating closely with engineering teams to approve cockpit configurations and ensure safety standards are met. You may also conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities, and system capabilities. This position is based in Palmdale, CA. You must be a U.S. Citizen, as this position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.
