About the Role
Ready to put your truck-driving career in high gear? As a Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will join a team of professionals committed to delivering products safely and on time. This role is about incredible customer service and building relationships with your accounts. When you drive for Penske, you are representing both the company and your clients, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms.
You will cover various routes as needed, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to retail stores. Your day involves unloading trailers using pallet jacks and hand trucks, and using scanners to track products as they are delivered. You will drive late-model Penske-maintained trucks equipped with best-in-class specs for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.
This position offers a five-day work week with two consecutive days off. Dispatch times vary depending on your work assignment, but for most driving positions, you can expect to be home daily. With locations across the nation, you also have the opportunity to move to a new city as your career grows.
Hiring Process
To join the team, you must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes a review of past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. The role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive; therefore, the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
