About the Role
Ready to put your truck-driving career in high gear? As a Full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will join a team of professionals committed to delivering products safely and on time. You will perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships, traveling regionally to various locations as needed.
When you drive for Penske, you are representing both Penske and your clients. You may find yourself driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms, building relationships through incredible customer service. This role is about more than just hauling freight; it is about being on the move with a stable, nationwide company known for its best-in-class equipment, great management, clear communication, and fantastic safety record.
Day in the Life
You will operate late-model Penske-maintained trucks equipped with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Your day involves unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, while using scanners to track products as they are delivered.
The schedule is dynamic, with dispatch times varying based on work assignments. Drivers can expect to be away from home for 2 to 3 weeks per assignment, traveling to an assigned location to work for the duration of that assignment. Despite the travel, you will be part of a culture that pays every Friday and offers tons of training opportunities to help your career grow.
Hiring Process
To join the team, you must complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and undergo a drug screening. The role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
