About the Role

As a Driver, CDL-A, you will play a vital role in supporting America's food distribution system. This position involves operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers locally, both intrastate and interstate. You will serve as a key team member, ensuring that deliveries are made safely, timely, and in strict accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Your day will involve professional interactions with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring accurate communication and timely responses to inquiries. From performing pre-trip safety inspections and verifying freight loads to managing paperwork and collecting payments, you will handle the full lifecycle of the delivery process. The role emphasizes a culture of safety, where you are responsible for identifying hazards, securing freight, and maintaining the cleanliness of your equipment and the loading dock area.
