About the Role
We are hiring an On-Call Class B CDL Truck Driver in Greensboro, NC, to deliver freight solo within South Carolina and North Carolina. This is a local, home-daily position operating a 26' straight truck equipped with an electric/manual pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate. You will handle touch freight, specifically cable equipment, providing white glove service to our customers.
As an on-call driver, hours are not guaranteed and work is provided based on business needs. You will start your day between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM. If travel is required, Ryder provides a hotel stay, mileage reimbursement, and a per diem of $69.00 per day. Our trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 roadside maintenance, with fueling available at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
