About the Role
As a Driver – CDL (A), you will be the face of Republic Services in your local community, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and removal of large containers. You will operate heavy commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, or straight trucks with pup trailers, ensuring that every customer receives prompt and courteous service. This role is critical to our local operations, where the dynamics of waste management differ by market, requiring you to make day-to-day operational decisions closest to the customer.
Your day will involve performing complete pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports. You will safely navigate designated routes, interact professionally with customers and dispatchers, and handle the operation of compactors and disposal facilities. Beyond driving, you will identify unsatisfactory waste containers, perform minor repairs on-site, and monitor conditions to ensure operational readiness. You will actively participate in our ReSOP program and maintain adherence to our rigorous safety policies.

Requirements
