About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to join a close-knit acute care environment in the scenic mountain region of Highlands, North Carolina. You will provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Acute Care / Telemetry unit serving a primarily geriatric and swing bed population. The unit is known for its excellent culture and strong teamwork; current vacancies exist due to the challenges of recruiting to this specific location, not due to unit instability.
In this role, you will deliver a concierge-level patient experience consistent with the expectations of an affluent community setting. You will manage patient assignments at ratios of up to 6–7:1, often working independently in a low-resource staffing environment without HUC or tech support. The position requires proficiency in wound care and the ability to navigate a stable, experienced staff using standard Med/Surg equipment.
