About the Position
The Surgical Technician-NCA plays a vital role within the healthcare team at Cynet Health, assisting in the delivery of patient care during the intra-operative period. This position is centered on the meticulous preparation and handling of instrumentation and surgical equipment, ensuring the surgeon has the necessary tools to perform procedures effectively.
In this role, you will adapt care and equipment usage to meet the specific needs of the patient population served. Success requires a deep knowledge of specific procedures and specialties, alongside the ability to prioritize, plan, and solve problems as surgical situations evolve. You must be prepared to recognize the need for immediate response during urgent or emergency scenarios.
Aseptic technique is the cornerstone of your daily duties, applied rigorously to ensure positive patient outcomes. This includes the responsible care, preparation, handling, and maintenance of surgical instrumentation, as well as consistently performing sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy. Your work will directly impact patient safety and the efficiency of the surgical team.
