AMN Healthcare Allied is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist to join a skilled nursing facility in Louisville, Kentucky. This 13-week assignment focuses on providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adult and geriatric residents with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
In this role, you will manage a caseload spanning both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, with a dedicated focus on functional outcomes, safe swallowing, and maximizing resident independence. You will work 8-hour day shifts, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapy, nursing, and case management. Your daily responsibilities will involve completing evaluations, updating plans of care, participating in care conferences, delivering individualized and group treatment sessions, and documenting services in the facility's EMR system. This setting emphasizes quality, evidence-based practice, and team communication, offering a supportive environment for SLPs who enjoy working with an older adult population and contributing to resident-centered care.
