Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver attentive and compassionate nursing care to patients on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg PCU
- check_circleOperate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, and EKG machines
- check_circlePerform and maintain IV starts, basic wound care, and management of surgical drains and tubes
- check_circleDocument patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- check_circleConduct bedside shift reports and actively include patients and family members in their plan of care
- check_circleAdhere to floating policy and weekend scheduling requirements
Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- verifiedMinimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or PCU nursing experience
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedProficiency with IV insertion, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
Nice to Have
Prior experience in a Neuro Med/Surg or Step-Down/PCU setting. Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems. Experience working in a facility with Comprehensive Stroke, Trauma, or Chest Pain Center certifications.
