Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in a CCU setting
- check_circleManage and titrate critical care drips, ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, and central venous lines
- check_circleAssist physicians with bedside procedures and conscious or moderate sedation
- check_circleMaintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR for ICU patients
- check_circleFloat to CVICU, Critical Care Step-Down, and Med-Surg units as needed
- check_circleOperate and manage advanced devices including CRRT, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, and Rapid-Transfusion systems
- check_circlePerform and interpret continuous ECG rhythm monitoring, ABG, lab results, and hemodynamic monitoring
Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license
- verified5 years critical care/ICU experience
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedCurrent NIHSS certification
- verifiedProficiency in IV starts, blood draws, NG tube placement, ECG rhythm interpretation, and critical care drip titration
- verifiedCompetency with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- verifiedCompletion of Moderate Sedation/Analgesia, iStat, and glucometer certifications
Nice to Have
Prior experience in a teaching hospital environment working alongside resident physicians. Advanced ICU skills including CRRT management, IABP management, and arterial sheath pulls. Background in SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU/Med-Surg settings. Familiarity with common ICU diagnoses such as respiratory failure, ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, and post-operative care.
