About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors as prescribed by radiologists and oncologists. You will position patients with precision, operate advanced radiation therapy equipment, and ensure patient safety by adhering to strict radiation protection protocols.
Beyond the technical execution of treatment plans, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate care. This includes monitoring patient responses, observing and reassuring patients during sessions, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes. You will work independently in accordance with long-term treatment plans while maintaining open communication with physicians regarding any unusual reactions.
