We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to join a strictly outpatient facility located north of Bakersfield, California. This role offers a unique chance to work in a tight-knit community surrounded by ranch lands, featuring a thriving agriculture sector and a low-crime, family-friendly atmosphere. The city boasts deep roots, a historic downtown, and full-service amenities including a hospital, library, and airport.
As a Travel Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with movement issues resulting from injuries or conditions. You will create personalized treatment plans utilizing exercises and manual therapy to assess patient strength, range of motion, balance, and functional capacity. In this position, you can expect to average approximately 20 patients per day. Contracts are available for 13 or 26 weeks.
This opportunity includes competitive pay of $75.00 per hour. Additionally, housing is provided at no cost to the traveler, ensuring a comfortable living arrangement during your assignment.
Interested candidates should possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, state licensure, and at least 1-2 years of experience. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, along with excellent communication skills and empathy, are essential for success in this role.
