About the Role

We are seeking a Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Clinical Decision Unit in Asheville, North Carolina. This role offers the unique opportunity to work at a nationally recognized, high-acuity regional referral center, providing exposure to a diverse and dynamic patient population.

In this position, you will provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care, including medical-surgical and step-down patients. The role is fast-paced, focusing on managing care for short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours, requiring you to adapt to quick patient turnover. You will monitor and interpret telemetry for all patients hardwired to bedside monitors and maintain patient ratios of 1:5, with stretch to 1:6 depending on the level of care. Collaboration with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and CNAs across day and night shifts is essential to ensure safe, patient-centered care, and you may be required to float to other units within the facility as needed.
