About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with job.com LLC to find a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry for a fast-paced healthcare environment in New York, NY. This role is designed for a skilled professional dedicated to delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest clinical standards.

The Role

In this high-acuity, team-based setting, you will serve as a vital member of the acute care hospital unit. Your day-to-day involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will play a key role in maintaining patient safety by monitoring vitals and pain levels, promptly reporting any clinical changes, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.

Beyond direct patient care, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. A significant part of your impact will be educating patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions. Success in this position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple patients effectively within a dynamic Telemetry unit.
