Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Dallas, TX. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment. You will be the cornerstone of patient-centered care, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest clinical standards are met.

The Role

In this 13-week contract starting ASAP, you will manage a dynamic caseload of patients requiring acute care. Your day will involve performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will play a vital role in patient safety by monitoring vitals and pain levels, promptly reporting any clinical changes, and maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.

Beyond clinical duties, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient mobility while educating patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions. Success in this team-based setting requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously while adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.
