About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical unit in a fast-paced healthcare environment in New York, NY. This role is vital for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest clinical standards in a high-acuity, team-based setting.
The Role
As a Med Surg Nurse, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. Your day will involve assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), managing patient mobility, and closely monitoring vitals and pain levels to report any clinical changes immediately. You will also play a key educational role, guiding patients and families through care plans and discharge instructions while maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. Success in this position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple patients effectively while adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.
