About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with Mindlance Health to recruit a qualified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Phoenix, Arizona (85001). This role is designed for experienced nurses seeking to expand their clinical expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment.
The Role
As a Med/Surg RN, you will work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) covering 3 days per week. The position involves caring for patients in a Medical-Surgical unit with a specific focus on Ortho-Trauma cases. You will be expected to adhere to facility guidelines regarding floating to other departments and meeting weekend/holiday coverage requirements.
This assignment offers the unique opportunity to adapt to new environments and healthcare facilities, challenging you to expand your knowledge and skills. The dynamic nature of travel nursing contributes significantly to professional growth, allowing you to understand varying nursing policies and procedures while honing effective time management skills. Important Eligibility & Application Notes
Arizona Residency Restriction: Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments within any Arizona facility. Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date (June 8, 2026) or no more than one week later. Return to Office (RTO) must be on the cover page and cannot exceed 7 days, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment.
Submission Requirements: To secure an offer, candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept. Please clearly outline all criteria you are willing to accept, including specific facilities, states, shifts, and departments. The more flexible you are with locations, shifts, and departments, the faster we can secure an offer. All candidates must be able to verify residency with a driver's license and have no hits on their state license to practice.
Compliance & Onboarding
Banner Health requires strict adherence to all background check standards. Candidates must complete the Banner Cover Page and provide a resume listing all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and number of beds. A Med/Surg skills checklist must be completed within the last 12 months, and an active BLS certification from an approved vendor (AHA, ARC, or ASHI) is required. Additional onboarding requirements include a Core Exam, Ishihara Colorvision Screening, LA Fire Safety Card, MedSurg Exam, MedSurg RN Skills Checklist, and RN Pharmacology Exam.
