Key Responsibilities
- check_circleFloat across up to 5 Medical Surgical and Telemetry units including orthopedics, urology, and cardiology
- check_circleManage titratable IV drips including nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and diltiazem infusions
- check_circleProvide direct patient care at an average ratio of 5:1 across units ranging from 16 to 32 beds
- check_circleUtilize Meditech for documentation and clinical workflows
- check_circleMaintain availability most Fridays and adhere to specific scheduling requirements
- check_circleIndependently read and interpret telemetry strips to monitor patient cardiac status
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 4 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- verifiedStepdown or IMCU experience required for night shift
- verifiedAbility to independently read telemetry strips and pass on-site competency exam
- verifiedProficiency with Meditech
- verifiedAt least 1 recent, successfully completed travel nursing contract
- verifiedActive BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Nice to Have
5 or more years of nursing experience, previous float pool experience, experience with EPIC electronic health records
