We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Long Term Care unit in a fast-paced healthcare environment in Dallas, TX. This role is designed for professionals who thrive in high-acuity, team-based settings and are dedicated to delivering patient-centered care. The position involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high clinical standards while managing the unique needs of long-term care residents.
In this capacity, you will be the frontline of patient advocacy and clinical oversight. Your day will involve performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will play a critical role in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient mobility, while closely monitoring vitals and pain levels to report any clinical changes immediately.
Effective communication is key; you will educate patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions, ensuring they feel supported throughout their journey. Maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is a daily requirement, alongside strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
