TravelNurseSource is partnering with Mindlance Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the ICU/Critical Care Float Pool in Boise, Idaho. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across three facilities in the Treasure Valley: Boise, Meridian, and Nampa. As a member of the Float Pool, you will serve as the first line of support for staffing needs, floating between Emergency, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, Labor & Delivery, and NICU units based on daily demand.
This position is designed for experienced travelers who thrive in dynamic environments. You will not be assigned to a single unit but will instead rotate through various departments, ensuring you only float within your specialty and never to a lower acuity level. The float pool leadership team, including seven assistant managers and an educator, provides 24/7 support and maintains regular communication with travelers to ensure a smooth experience.
The facilities are located within a 20-minute radius of each other, all situated conveniently off the interstate with safe parking available. While the schedule is block-based, assignments are confirmed via an app one hour prior to your shift start. You may be called to float mid-shift or to a different facility entirely to meet critical patient needs. The role includes a 50-mile radius rule regarding your permanent residence to ensure local compliance.
Embrace the nomadic lifestyle with pride, celebrating the uniqueness and diversity of each assignment. The sense of adventure and pride in being a healthcare nomad adds a distinctive dimension to your career. Many travel nurses find permanent positions at healthcare facilities where they've completed assignments, offering an excellent pathway to transition into a long-term role. Additionally, travel nurses often play crucial roles in responding to healthcare crises or natural disasters, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on communities in need. Your presence in these areas contributes to filling critical gaps in healthcare services, while the flexibility in assignment duration and location allows for a better work-life balance.
To proceed with a profile review, candidates must confirm they reside outside the 50-mile radius of the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa area. Please ensure your permanent address is included in your submittal. The orientation process includes a meet-and-greet on day one, followed by three shifts of inpatient orientation. Specific unit details, including common diagnoses and equipment, will be provided by unit managers upon assignment.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
