Join the Mindlance Health team to support critical care needs across the Treasure Valley in Idaho. This 13-week contract places you in a dynamic Float Pool role, serving as a versatile resource for three distinct facilities: St. Luke's Boise Medical Center, St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center, and St. Luke's Nampa Medical Center.
As a Registered Nurse in this ICU/Critical Care Float Pool, you will be the first line of defense for staffing fluctuations across Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Labor & Delivery, and NICU units. The role is designed for experienced travelers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable adapting to diverse patient populations. You will never float to a lower acuity unit than your specialty, ensuring you are always practicing at the top of your license.
Your day begins with a notification via the assignment app one hour prior to your shift start, directing you to one of the three facilities. All locations are situated conveniently off the interstate, approximately 20 minutes apart, with safe parking available at each site. You may be assigned to a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) or a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with weekends and holidays as needed.
Flexibility is key to this role. You may float mid-shift to different units or facilities based on immediate patient needs. While you will primarily work within your specialty (e.g., ICU, ER, L&D), you may also be assigned as a 1:1 sitter in any area. The environment is supported by a robust leadership team, including seven assistant managers (one always on call 24/7) who actively round with travelers throughout the day, night, and weekend shifts. You will work alongside nurse aids, patient care techs, and respiratory therapists, with specific ratios varying by unit (e.g., 1:1-2 in ICU, 1:5 in MedSurg).
To proceed with your profile review, candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa area. Please ensure your permanent address is included in your submission to confirm adherence to this radius rule. The orientation process includes a meet-and-greet on day one, followed by three shifts of inpatient orientation. Note that self-scheduling is not available; however, the team strives to block schedule shifts where possible.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
